Home.

After almost a year of planning and anticipating, I am finally in Uganda - the pearl of Africa. There is already so much I would love to share, but for now I will just show you where I live (per request). I even threw in some selfies incase you needed to know what  I look like in Uganda.

I am truly blessed to live in an absolutely beautiful home with beautiful people in a fairly safe and clean part of town! Today I attended Church in Kivilu, the slums of Kampala, where I was once again reminded how blessed I am.

So here it is. Visitors welcomed.

OH MY GOODNESS, I LIVE IN AFRICA!

Jordan, Thank you so much for the pics! They do give a very good 'feel' for the place and a way for us back here to sense where you are when we read updates. Greetings to David and Abby! We pray for you all...just did this morning again!

I cant tell you how happy I am to see you all settled in and smiling. Jalen is so excited he can see his picture on your wall. He loved looking at the pictures of your house, he has been asking a lot of questions about where you live and what it looks like there. We miss you so much but we are so excited about what God has for you and cant wait to hear all about it. We love you and are praying for you everyday.

Jordan,
I do not know you, but I know exactly where you are! I spent 6 weeks with API this past summer, and stayed in the same home you are in right now. It is a beautiful place, and God is ever present there. I don't know how much time you have spent in Kivilu, but be careful, because you just may leave your heart there. I did. The boys of that slum are wonderful children of the Lord. And the people working for API; Uncle Abbey, Boy Abby, Nakato, Susan, Irene, all are such wonderful people. I would like to keep up with you and your blog and trip. If there is anyway we could exchange emails or something, I would love that. If you would like to see a recount of our trip this summer, you can go to icthusuganda2013.blogspot.com.
Have a wonderful time, and God bless you.
